Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may and may not do with AccMCP, including the MCP integration and any AI assistant you connect to it. It forms part of our Terms of Service and expands on the acceptable use clause there. If the two ever conflict, the Terms of Service govern.

Breaking this policy can lead to suspension or termination, as described in the Terms.

1. Who this applies to

Everyone who uses AccMCP: account holders, users added to an organisation, and anyone operating an AI assistant connected through our MCP integration. If you administer an organisation, you are responsible for the users you invite and the company grants you approve.

2. Do not misuse the service

You must not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive our source code, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law;
  • resell, sublicense or offer AccMCP to third parties as a service of your own without our written agreement;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the service, except under our Responsible Disclosure policy;
  • circumvent rate limits, quotas, authentication or usage restrictions, or use the service in a way that degrades it for other customers;
  • use automated means to extract the tool catalogue or bulk-export data beyond the published export tools and their limits.

3. Do not misuse the data

You must not:

  • connect a company whose data you are not authorised to access;
  • use AccMCP to process personal data without a lawful basis for doing so;
  • use the service to store or transmit unlawful material, or in breach of any applicable law;
  • use accounting data obtained through AccMCP to harass, defraud or unlawfully discriminate against any person;
  • attempt to re-identify individuals from aggregated or derived output.

You are the controller of the accounting data you connect. Granting a company sends its records to the AI provider you chose — see the MCP Integration Data Disclosure before connecting anything sensitive.

4. Do not misuse the AI integration

Because AccMCP is driven by AI assistants, some restrictions are specific to that:

  • do not attempt to make our tools return data outside the companies, financial years or scopes you were granted;
  • do not use prompts, tool arguments or connected content to try to bypass the authorisation checks, extract another tenant's data, or reach our internal queries, credentials or infrastructure;
  • do not present AccMCP output as verified financial advice, an audited statement, or a filing-ready return;
  • do not rely on tool output for tax, statutory or contractual decisions without checking it against your books.

Tool output is generated by an AI assistant and can be wrong. Treat it as a starting point, not a source of record.

5. Do not misrepresent AccMCP

You must not claim that AccMCP, or its availability in any AI assistant's directory, means that AccMCP is endorsed, certified or audited by that assistant's provider, or by us beyond what our published documentation states.

Where we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may limit or suspend access, revoke MCP connections, or terminate the account, as set out in the Terms of Service. Where the risk allows, we will tell you first and give you an opportunity to put it right. We may act without notice where there is an immediate risk to the service, to other customers, or to anyone's data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes are reflected in the effective date and version shown at the top of this page.
